I know that I am a few weeks behind but I never got a chance to write about our trip. We had a great time. There were a few mishaps.... like the hotel losing our reservation (that's what we get for planning ahead, for once), Erick having to drop out of the race at mile 16 to take his friend to the hospital after a pretty bad crash (everybody is O.K.), and Abbie and Emma puking on the drive home. Despite all of these things we had a great time. Lisa and I decided to do the 10 mile ride with the kids. Tyler and Jason rode thier own bikes and the girls were in the buggies getting pulled. It was 5 miles out, with a rest area with snacks at mile 5 and then back. After about 1 mile Tyler started asking me every few minutes when we would get to the rest area, and complaining that his bum hurt. I was thinking...Oh yeah, this is going to be a long ride. But after a few more miles he stopped complaining and enjoying the ride. By the time we got to the rest stop he was ready to turn back and head to the finish. He patiently* waited while we rested. (*by patiently I mean I told him that we would leave in 3 minutes and so he sat and counted to 180 out loud so we would know exactly when it was time to go.) I'm proud of the kids for doing ride the ten miles. We have been going to this race for years and it was really fun to be a part of it this year.
The next day was Mothers Day. We went to church there. It was so nice to have Erick sitting with us. Anytime any of the kids needed anything, I just pointed to Daddy. (He usually just watches and gives me pity looks from the stand). After church we went to the beach it was just beautiful. We spent several hours and over 100 pictures later (I love to take pictures at the beach), we found a great little restaurant and had a wonderful meal before we headed home. It was the perfect Mothers Day.

Mothers Day Weekend
A few questions got answered this weekend. Yes, we were able to go to the TUC (Tour of the Unknown Coast) this weekend. Emma didn't throw up until we were about 30 minutes from arriving home. In fact, Abbie and Emma did at the same time. Synchronized barfing, it was great!! But that's a different story. No, we did not get into the St. George Marathon. So now we have to try to find another one. Maybe the Top of Utah in Sept. in Logan. Or we could do one on Sunday around here. And my friend won't know her moving fate for a few more weeks and so... more waiting...

The waiting is the hardest part.....
Today is a big day. Waiting to find out so many things that will effect my future. First of all, is Emma done throwing up? Are we going to be able to go to the coast this weekend without a car full of sick people? (We should know in a few hours, cross your fingers). Will the Rogers move? They should hear back from their job interview today. I will be so sad....But happy for them...I guess... (no, really I will be). Will we get into the St. George Marathon? According to the web site we won't find out until 5pm... Ughhh.. I hate waiting.
